Looking for tips on things to do in New York City with kids? New York is not a city you’d usually associate with being a holiday destination for young children. When I moved to the city, four months pregnant, I was similarly unsure of whether having and raising a kid in such a busy place was a good idea or not.

It came as a happy surprise to discover how an entirely different side of the city opened up to its smallest residents and tiny visitors alike.

The once big bad New York City is now home to many young families, which has made it a wonderful destination to travel to with kids of any age.

I’ve put together some tips to help you get around town, gathered from the adventures my daughter and I had while living in NYC.
