I hope you liked our wedding posts so far (If by any chance you missed them, you can read all about it here and here), I sure had so much fun reminiscing and sharing our planning and overall experience with you. 

In 11 months of wedding planning you learn a whole lot about yourself, your relationship and even your friends & family.
Though it’s truly a magical time and I absolutely loved planning our wedding, it sure can be stressful at times and it’s easy to loose yourself in the process.
That’s why I wanted to share with you some insights I’ve gained along the way among with a few wedding planning tips and tricks that will hopefully help you take it in stride and enjoy the road towards the aisle.

But first, a few logistics and a word about delegating.

2 pairs of shoes, 2 shirts for your groom, 2 sets of good underwear and even two dresses (or in my case a dress and a jumpsuit), the one thing I’d say is truly important to have on your wedding day is backup. The wedding day is so eventful and busy and you just never know what you might need, so in this case – always better safe than sorry.

As you can see, through this process and on your wedding day itself, there are many small details and tasks to remember and manoeuvre and it wouldn’t be so smart to try and take it all upon yourself. Release control and let your made of honor take over. Mine took care of literally everything from great champagne and morning playlist, to the more technical tasks such as making sure my dress won’t get wrinkled, my hair is in its place and that we’re both happy and well fed. She also packed up all the things we left at our hotel room and made it her mission to make our day as easy breezy as can be.
My wedding day would look a whole lot different without her and I can’t wait to return that favour one day.

Follow your gut:

Though you want to keep a level headed, responsible approach when managing your budget, life is a balance act, so don’t give up on whatever it may be that matters to you and do your best to make sure the compromises you make aren’t too painful.
But most importantly- if something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it – or you’ll be kicking yourself later.

Put your heart into it, but don’t loose your mind over every little detail.

This was MY biggest challenge. Your heart and style will make the wedding your own, so it’s actually smart to put good thought into your choices. Personally I was so proud and excited to give the planning process my all and see our wedding become “ours”. I did it first and foremost for us two, and the memory we’ll have of our wedding.

That being said, I spent way too much time moving the text on my wedding invite half an inch to the right or left and consumed so many hours on things only I will know and notice.

That was the caption written on a pub sitting right outside of our Budapest Airbnb apartment and I loved how symbolic it felt given the fact that was our first trip as newly weds. Max and I recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary, and boy what a year it was.

Almost five months into wedded bliss now, our wedding day was everything we ever dared to wish for and more. We were lucky enough to celebrate love and life with our loved ones, who truly went out of their way to make our day as joyful as can be, and though our true commitment to one another was made long before marriage, this was such a happy, special day in our lives, one we will always treasure. I’m so proud to be calling Max my hubby and feel so blessed to be his girl. 

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I finally finished writing the story of our modern day fairytale wedding and I’m so excited to share this wedding series with you. I’ll be spilling it all over the next few days, from our style choices and ceremony to music picks and wedding planning insights, so I hope you’ll enjoy this crazy ride.

September 19th, 2017 was our date of choice and it was incredibly meaningful to us.
This happens to be Max’s parents 36th wedding anniversary and my parents’ 40th. Both couples gave us the best, most pure example of true love and friendship, and continue to inspire us every day. We couldn’t think of a better good luck charm to launch our wedding celebration with and for that we’re forever grateful. 

Bangkok was such a treat for us the second time around it actually shocked me. I wasn’t too excited to go back to it at first, since our first time there wasn’t all that interesting. There are few things for the average Israeli tourist to do in Bangkok, we tried them all back in 2010 and there was no love connection made, lets just say. We were really uncertain about visiting Bangkok once again but my brother and his wife got back from it so smitten that we just had to see what all the fuss was about, and I’m so glad we did. Here are my top 5 faves to try while in Bangkok, most of them involve shopping of some sort, that’s just who I am: 

• The Sky Bar in Bangkok is very well known, mostly from that famous rooftop scene on The Hangover 2. I guess you can see many other magical rooftops all around BKK that will cost you much less, but I was really curious about this one. What can I say, I’m a pop culture fanatic. You should keep in mind it’s relatively expansive and has a strict, formal dress code that demands of you to wear the most fabulous outfit you own (this I actually loved), and it’s also super crowded most days. I’m not doing a great job marketing this, I know, but I still feel that its worth an hour visit, just for the funny fartsy experience and amazing view if nothing else. They serve great drinks too.

Asiatique (the river front) night market is such a fun way to spend your evening. I usually love my shopping in air conditioned places, but really enjoyed this market. Really modern, organized, clean and beautiful. I didn’t even buy a whole lot but had so much fun just strolling around the great restaurants, bars and ice cream places, listening to music and enjoying the magical lights all around. A true must.

Mindy always gives great interviews, but a recent New York Times interview stood out; here are some fun quotes:

Looking for tips on things to do in New York City with kids? New York is not a city you’d usually associate with being a holiday destination for young children. When I moved to the city, four months pregnant, I was similarly unsure of whether having and raising a kid in such a busy place was a good idea or not.
